Independence Day is Coming Up!

 Hey, everyone! It's Addy, and in case you haven't noticed, the 4th of July is coming soon.  I love watching the fireworks and having a great time with family, and also honoring the history of America.

    For Independence Day every year, I go to a party hosted by my uncle.  By the way, I'm thirteen.  My cousins all come and a lot of people from their neighborhood.  I don't usually know a lot of the people there, but I always have a great time. We watch the 4th of July parade, which goes right by their house.  And around 10:00pm, we watch the fireworks show.

    There's a big park right across from the house, and every year they set up a huge fireworks display which attracts people from everywhere around.  There are a LOT of people in the park, but we can just watch from across the street on the front yard.  I'm always amazed by how long the fireworks last - usually about thirty minutes! It's unbelievably loud, too, since we're so close.

    It's going to be on Wednesday, but that depends on the weather. It might storm tomorrow, so if the park moves the fireworks to Thursday, the party will also be on Thursday - the actual fourth of July!
